5 Things To Do For Your Self-Care

My new article in Brainz Magazine is talking about the topic of prioritizing ourselves. But what even does it mean? Well, I remember tons of occasions when I really did not take good care of myself. And it can become a lifestyle, you just get used to it, you build up a life where everything is more important than you. Your friends expect you to do things in a certain way, so you do it for them, as that is what friends do... even if that is less and less who you are. At work, you say yes to everything, even though the workload almost breaks you, but you don't want to be that person who is not willing to do everything, even though you see that your colleagues complete half of the tasks that you do. You want to ask for a salary raise, but you don't have the courage to ask for it. You feel that you are more and more tired, but you don't know how to gain back your energy, how to recharge yourself as you have obligations, you can't just let down people.

If any of the above is familiar, you might have difficulties prioritizing yourself and standing up for yourself. Self-care is not (only) taking good care of your body or putting face cream on you every night, it is also about taking care of your mental wellbeing. And that starts with believing that you deserve it and then making some important changes in life. How?
